Welcome Josh Polkow to our team! With the great loss of Pastor Terry, we have been working diligently to ensure all areas of responsibility are covered, including giving records, bookkeeping updates, payroll, our Reach pledges and giving, weekly transactions, and deposits.
We are excited to share that our Elders have developed a thoughtful plan to meet these needs. After interviewing and evaluating several companies and individuals, we are confident in the path forward. Through prayer and careful consideration, we have partnered with The Sherley Group, a trusted company that serves hundreds of churches and non-profits. Their expertise in tracking budgets, creating financial reports, managing projections, and maintaining financial records gives us great confidence in this transition. Additionally, The Sherley Group will be taking on payroll for our team.
However, there remains a gap in our day-to-day administration needs — managing our vendor contracts for the building, bill pay, gathering funds from giving boxes, and separating pledges, tithes, and offerings before making deposits. To help fill this vital role, our Pastors will take on some of the daily operations and in addition to them we are excited to welcome Josh Polkow as our newest part-time staff member.
Josh, Monica, their sons, Josiah, Elijah, and Easton have been part of Branches for 8 years and Josh currently serves on our Elder team and has been prayerfully exploring ministry for the past few years — a conversation that began with Pastor Terry himself. In addition to his full-time job, his role as a husband, and his commitment to his three sons, Josh will be serving 10 hours a week to support our financial processes. Josh will also handle some of our HR needs with our staff.
If you have any questions regarding giving, Josh is your go-to person. We are incredibly thankful for his heart to serve and his dedication to stepping into this role during this season.
Please join us in welcoming Josh to this new position and in praying for him as he helps carry on the legacy of faithfulness Pastor Terry established.
